The ACE program is going back after the program was suspended due to Covid.
Step 2 Foundation has joined forces with the Australian Centre for Education (ACE) in Siem Reap – Cambodia to provide advanced certified English learning to children in grades 6-9 in Svaychey English school. 46 kids are going back to continue their education at ACE after the program was suspended due to restrictions.
ACE a global accredited English School in Siem Reap is part of the global IDP education organisation. IDP was established in 1969 to represent Australian education overseas. IDP owns and administers EILTS English language testing in conjunction with the University of Cambridge ESOL examinations, giving children the opportunity to qualify for university entrance in Australia, UK, USA, and Canada. They have over 100 student offices in more than 30 countries.
The ACE program is an initiative of IDP education and was launched in Cambodia in 2009, as a result of an identified need to provide English language learning at an international qualification level to students.
The aim of the program is to develop English writing and speaking knowledge and skills. Without the ability to speak and write English, it is impossible for students to get a job or go to higher education in Cambodia. Without the right education young students are trapped in the poverty cycle with little hope of a better life. Education is the only path to equality.
